Centre Pompidou

Inaugurated on 31 January 1977 in the Beaubourg area of Paris, the Centre Pompidou houses the Musée National d'Art Moderne, Europe's largest collection of modern and contemporary art. Masterpieces include works by Wassily Kandinsky, Marcel Duchamp, Henri Matisse, and Joan Miró. The complex also incorporates the Public Information Library (BPI) and IRCAM, an acoustic music research center.
