Dorothea Lange

American documentary photographer (1895-1965) whose Depression-era images became defining symbols of the Great Depression. Her 1936 photograph Migrant Mother remains one of the most reproduced images in history with over 1 million copies printed. Worked for the Farm Security Administration and later documented Japanese American internment camps during World War II.
