Victoria Falls, known as 'The Smoke That Thunders,' spans 1,708 meters wide and drops 108 meters, creating a spray plume visible from 30 kilometers away during the wet season. This width makes it nearly six times wider than Angel Falls (), though Angel's drop is nine times taller at 979 meters. The falls process up to 1,000 cubic meters of water per second at peak, ranking third among the five largest waterfalls by volume.
