By this measure, current AI architectures score near zero, but future neuromorphic designs might achieve higher integration. This theory is more quantifiable than Global Workspace Theory Applied to AI, and a 2023 simulation showed that even optimized AI reaches a Phi value less than 0.01, far below the human brain's estimated 10,000.
