Fraser's Hill

Fraser’s Hill is the most unspoiled colonial hill station in Malaysia, its 1,500-metre elevation in Pahang preserving Edwardian bungalows, a nine-hole golf course, and a birding culture of international acclaim. The annual International Bird Race in May attracts 200 ornithologists from across Asia, who compete to spot the highest number of species—recorded at 107 in 24 hours. This bird diversity is 30% lighter than the runner-up, Cameron Highlands, which logs 150 species annually, but Fraser’s Hill offers a more intimate, quieter retreat with 95% fewer visitors than #2 Genting Highlands. Its deliberate anachronism and serene montane forest make it a tranquil haven for nature purists.
