Turtle Island Nesting Watch, Sabah

The three islands of Taman Pulau Penyu off Sabah's east coast — Pulau Selingan, Pulau Bakkungan Kecil, and Pulau Gulisan — host the world's most accessible green turtle nesting programme, where rangers guide small groups to watch female turtles haul ashore nightly between July and October to excavate nests and lay clutches of up to 100 eggs in one of nature's most extraordinary performances.
