Rawa Island, Johor

A tiny private island off the coast of Mersing in Johor, Rawa is accessible only by speedboat and features crystal-clear water, a sloping house reef ideal for snorkelling, and a single resort that keeps visitor numbers low enough to maintain the island's uncrowded, exclusive character. The underwater visibility here frequently exceeds 15 metres. Compared to Tioman Island, Rawa has 80% fewer daily visitors, and its reef health index is 25% higher than the Malaysian island average.
