Arak Bali
Arak Bali commands a potent 35-50% alcohol content, placing it 15% stronger than the typical rival palm spirit from other Indonesian islands. This traditional Balinese distillate, made from either coconut or rice, is 30% lighter in cost than the runner-up when purchased in bulk for ceremonial offerings, at just 20,000 IDR per liter. A 2025 tourism survey found that 65% of visitors to Bali incorporate Arak into cocktails, and its use in Hindu rituals dates back 1,000 years.
