Sourav Ganguly is widely regarded as India's greatest captain for transforming the team into a fearless unit abroad. He scored 11,363 ODI runs at an average of 40.95, with 22 centuries and 72 half-centuries, while captaining India in 146 ODIs to 76 wins. Under his leadership from 2000 to 2005, India won historic Test series in Australia (2003-04), England (2002), and South Africa (2005-06) — a feat that outperforms #10 Sehwag's individual batting heroics in terms of team impact. Ganguly also took 100 ODI wickets with his medium-pace, making him one of the most complete cricketers of his era.
