Lives for decades. Grows into a miniature tree. Symbol of good fortune.
A succulent that can live for decades — some jade plants have been passed down through generations. Its thick, fleshy leaves store water like tiny reservoirs, making it drought-tolerant to the extreme. Given bright light and occasional watering, it develops a thick woody trunk and can grow into a miniature tree over 3 feet tall. In many cultures it's called the "money tree" and given as a housewarming gift for good fortune.
