Steel Pulse
Steel Pulse broke barriers as the first non-Jamaican act to win the Grammy for Best Reggae Album in 1986, a landmark feat that still sets them apart from #10 Damian Marley, who won his first reggae Grammy for Halfway Tree in 2001. Their debut, Handsworth Revolution (1978), sold over 250,000 copies and remains a defining document of Black British identity, blending roots reggae with sharp social commentary.
