Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt is the only athlete to win 100m and 200m gold medals at 3 consecutive Olympic Games (Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016), accumulating 8 Olympic gold medals in total. Bolt set the current world records in both the 100m (9.58 seconds) and 200m (19.19 seconds) at the 2009 Berlin World Championships, making him the fastest human ever timed.
