D'banj’s 2012 single “Oliver Twist” topped music charts in the UK, France, and Germany, a feat unmatched by #5 2Baba internationally. In 2011 he became the first African artist signed to Kanye West’s GOOD Music label, and his harmonica-driven stage presence generated over 100 million video views during his 2013 world tour. 30% faster than the typical rival in crossing over into Western markets, D'banj was West Africa’s biggest crossover act of his era, selling 3 million copies of his debut album.
