Xavi Hernández made 505 La Liga appearances for Barcelona, more than any other player in the club's history, and won the league a record 8 times. As the chief architect of Barcelona's tiki-taka system, he completed 91.2% of his passes in the 2009–10 season — a league record for accuracy. He earned UEFA's Best Player in Europe award in 2011. His partnership with Andrés Iniesta in midfield is considered the finest in football history.
