Innervisions
Innervisions won the Grammy for Album of the Year in 1974, a feat less common for soul records than for rock competitors like Never Mind the Bollocks. Stevie Wonder single-handedly played every instrument, a 100% solo performance that outpaces the typical collaborative effort of the 1970s. Wonder nearly died in a car crash soon after, making this a harrowing, triumphant masterpiece.
