Defined topwater popping. The pause is the secret.
The Pop-R is the popper that defined topwater popping. Its cupped face throws a spray of water and creates a "blooping" sound that calls bass from 20 feet away. The trick is in the pause β pop it once, let it sit until the rings disappear, then pop again. When schooling bass are busting the surface in fall, a chrome/blue Pop-R is the only lure you need.
