Heddon Zara Spook

The Zara Spook is the king of topwater "walk the dog" lures — a cigar-shaped plug that zigzags across the surface when twitched with rhythmic rod snaps. Watching a largemouth bass explode on a Spook at dawn is one of fishing's most adrenaline-pumping moments. Heddon has been making them since 1939, and the design hasn't changed because it doesn't need to.
