Easter Witch — Sweden & Finland

Children dress as Easter witches and go door-to-door with decorated willow twigs to receive sweets — a mix of pre-Christian folklore and Easter tradition unique to Scandinavia. This practice is older than the Bilby Easter tradition by nearly 200 years and involves over 90% of Swedish children aged 6 to 12 participating each year.
