Fanny Blankers-Koen

Fanny Blankers-Koen, the "Flying Housewife," won four gold medals at the 1948 London Olympics at age 30, faster than the average sprinter of her era by a margin of 0.2 seconds in the 100m. She equaled or broke world records in 16 events, with her 100m time of 11.5 seconds being 0.3 seconds quicker than the men's 100m world record at the time. Her Olympic quadruple remains the only such achievement by a female track athlete in a single Games.
