Sail Amsterdam

Sail Amsterdam is the Netherlands’ most spectacular maritime event, drawing 1.5 million visitors to the IJ harbour every five years. The 2026 edition will feature over 600 tall ships from 20 countries, creating a floating armada that stretches for kilometres. With 90% of attendees arriving by public transport or bike, it remains one of Europe's most accessible mega-events. The show includes daily parade sail-pasts, fireworks, and a 360-degree view from the Eye Film Museum.
