This San Diego IPA was so good it got Ballast Point acquired by Constellation Brands for $1 billion in 2015 — the deal that made every craft brewer briefly think they were sitting on a goldmine. Sculpin is a 7% ABV West Coast IPA with apricot, peach, and mango notes from a blend of seven hop varieties. The acquisition went badly (Constellation sold at a massive loss), but the beer remains flawless.
