Bourbon or rye, sugar, Angostura bitters, and an orange peel. That's it. The Old Fashioned is the original cocktail — literally, the drink that defined the word "cocktail" in 1806. It's the benchmark against which every bartender is measured, and the drink Don Draper made cool again for a generation that had never ordered one.
