Hamilton Tigers (1919–25)

The Hamilton Tigers were the NHL's first labour activists, finishing the 1924–25 season atop the standings with a 19-10-1 record before a player strike over unpaid wages led to their dissolution. This strike forced a 100% salary increase for players the following year, a milestone unmatched by any other labor movement in the sport’s early era.
