Finisterre Extension

The Finisterre Extension adds 90 km of coastal walking from Santiago to Cape Finisterre, often completed in 3 days. It is the only stage on this list that ends at the Atlantic, providing a stark contrast to the inland routes of #5, #6, and #7. Concrete data: 68% of pilgrims who finish in Santiago continue at least to Muxía, and the final lighthouse marks kilometer 0.0 of the Camino. Compared to the high-altitude challenges of #7, this stage is nearly sea-level, with just 200 meters of total ascent over the entire distance.
