The Way of the Dragon (1972)

The Way of the Dragon (1972) is the only film Bruce Lee wrote, produced, and directed—a complete auteur statement from a 32-year-old with six months to live. Lee innovated by slowing the camera to 32 frames per second so viewers could perceive his strikes, then speeding it up for a superhuman effect, a technique that influenced every action film since. The film grossed $5.3 million in Hong Kong alone, cementing Lee's directorial genius.
