Romanée-Conti is the world's most hallowed wine terroir, annually producing just 5,000–6,000 bottles of 100% Pinot Noir from its 4.5-acre vineyard in Vosne-Romanée, Burgundy, which commands $15,000–$36,000 per bottle at auction. Owned entirely by Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC) since 1869, its auction prices are 3–7 times higher than Screaming Eagle's current release. Robert Parker has awarded perfect 100-point scores to multiple vintages, including the 1990, cementing its status as consistently the most expensive wine on Earth and a benchmark for Pinot Noir quality.
