Pétrus
Pétrus is the jewel of Pomerol, producing approximately 30,000 bottles of almost pure Merlot from its 28.35-acre estate annually, with current release prices of $5,000–$10,000 per bottle. Robert Parker awarded perfect 100-point scores to the 1989, 1990, and 1998 vintages, making it the ultimate expression of Merlot and a consistent outperformer of Romanée-Conti in Parker scores for those years. Its estate is 6 times larger than Romanée-Conti's vineyard, yet it maintains higher production efficiency, with yields per acre double the Bordeaux average of 40 hectoliters per hectare.
