Terracotta Warriors Museum

Dubbed the 'Eighth Wonder of the World,' this UNESCO World Heritage Site contains thousands of life-sized terracotta soldiers, horses, and chariots buried to guard China's first emperor Qin Shihuang in the afterlife. Discovered accidentally by farmers in 1974, the three excavation pits are staggering in both scale and craftsmanship. No two warrior faces are alike — the level of individual detail across an army of thousands is genuinely jaw-dropping.
