Yvon Chouinard gave the entire company to a climate trust in 2022, making Patagonia one of the only major fashion brands whose profits are structurally committed to fighting environmental destruction — an estimated $100 million a year in Patagonia's profits flows to the Patagonia Purpose Trust and the Holdfast Collective for climate and conservation causes.
