Marine Serre

Marine Serre built an entire aesthetic — the crescent moon logo, the futuristic silhouettes — out of an unglamorous practice: roughly half of each collection is deadstock and secondhand textile, reworked rather than run through as raw virgin fabric. It's proof that upcycling doesn't have to look modest or make apologies for itself; the moon-print catsuits and patchworked separates read as directional fashion first, and that they're substantially made from what already existed is almost a bonus detail rather than the headline. Few designers have made the constraint look this deliberate.
