Singapore
Singapore's hawker centre culture was added to UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2020. Maxwell Food Centre, Lau Pa Sat, and Old Airport Road serve chicken rice, char kway teow, chilli crab, and laksa at government-subsidised prices. Over 100,000 hawkers operate across the island, with some stalls boasting Michelin stars.
