Knight-Hennessy Scholars (Stanford University)

Knight-Hennessy Scholars is the world's largest fully-funded graduate scholarship, with a $750 million endowment covering tuition and living expenses for up to 100 scholars pursuing any Stanford graduate degree. Each scholar receives a three-year funding package worth over $150,000, including a $40,000 annual living stipend—twice the value of #6 Schwarzman Scholars' per-year stipend when considering Stanford's higher local living costs. Since 2018, the program has supported 410 scholars from 60 countries, with a 9% acceptance rate that is 40% more selective than #8 Erasmus Mundus.
