Gareth Edwards
The Welsh scrum-half scored "that try" for the Barbarians against the All Blacks in 1973 — widely regarded as the greatest try ever scored and the defining moment of a peerless career. Edwards earned 53 caps, a 25% higher tally than the average top-tier scrum-half of his time, and was named Player of the Year in 1974.
