Temu
Temu's prices genuinely don't make sense against any normal retail math, and that's by design — PDD Holdings built a factory-direct model with barely any markup, then wrapped it in the kind of gamified app experience, spin-the-wheel discounts and countdown timers, that keeps people opening it daily. It pulled in 100 million users faster than almost any consumer app in recent memory. The trade-off is real: quality swings wildly from item to item, and you're often gambling a few dollars to find out what you got. Treat it as a lottery-ticket retailer, not a place to buy anything you actually need to work.
