eBay
eBay is what online shopping looked like before Amazon standardized everything, and it's still the right answer for a specific kind of purchase: something rare enough that nobody actually knows what it's worth. The auction format, which feels almost quaint next to one-click checkout everywhere else, is precisely what makes it useful for collectibles, vintage electronics, and parts you can't find anywhere with a fixed price tag — letting real demand set the number instead of a retailer's guess. It's not where you go for convenience. It's where you go when convenience isn't the point.
