Released in May 2019 with zero promotion, "Callaíta" was simply posted to streaming platforms and became one of the most-played songs in the world within days. A moody, slow-burn reggaeton track about a "quiet girl" who is anything but, its minimalism and emotional specificity felt like a deliberate act of artistic restraint from an artist who could have gone louder. It proved Bad Bunny's instincts were operating on a higher plane.
