Luciana Aymar is the undisputed greatest field hockey player in history, earning the FIH Player of the Year award an unprecedented eight times. Her career spanned over 15 years, during which she led Argentina to two Olympic silver medals and a World Cup victory in 2010. With 582 international caps, she holds the record for most appearances by an Argentine hockey player.
