Perito Moreno Glacier

Perito Moreno Glacier spans 250 square kilometers of advancing ice, calving house-sized blocks that weigh up to 100 tons into Lago Argentino. Its front wall rises 60 meters above the water, far easier to access than Mount Aconcagua's summit, which requires technical climbing. This glacier is one of only three in the world still growing, advancing at a rate of 2 meters per day, and offers a 12-kilometer walking circuit for close-up views without the 40% oxygen deficit faced at higher altitudes.
