Built on NVIDIA ACE running locally on GeForce RTX hardware, Smart Zoi characters don't just wait for player interaction to decide what happens next — Krafton describes them as responding more realistically and intelligently to their environment based on individual personalities, with life goals and daily schedules that shift as those characters accumulate experience. The core idea, distinct from traditional life-simulation NPC systems, is that Smart Zoi behavior can change based on what a character has lived through rather than executing a fixed routine regardless of what happened before. inZOI entered Early Access on March 28, 2025, shipping with this AI layer as one of its headline features.
