Turkey earns its spot on this list less through a single headline arrivals number and more through range: the Turkish Riviera offers genuine Mediterranean luxury at a noticeable discount to comparable resorts in Greece or Italy, while a separate industry entirely - medical tourism - adds hundreds of thousands of visitors who never see a beach. Turkey has built a reputation as one of the world's biggest hubs for hair transplant procedures, performed at a fraction of what the same operation costs in the United Kingdom or Germany.

Mexico attracts approximately 45 million arrivals, securing its position as the most-visited country in Latin America by a 200% margin over the runner-up. Colonial cities like Oaxaca and San Miguel de Allende are growing 12% faster than the national average.

The United Kingdom hosts roughly 42.6 million overseas arrivals a year, ranking among the world's most visited countries. London remains the primary draw, consistently ranking as one of the most-visited cities by international overnight visitors, with Edinburgh and the Cotswolds also drawing large numbers of tourists. New post-Brexit entry requirements haven't dented demand — overseas arrivals have held up well against pre-pandemic levels.

Berlin, Munich, and the Rhine Valley anchor the industry, with Berlin drawing millions of overnight stays annually and a significant share of business travel. Oktoberfest alone draws about 6 million visitors to Munich each year, making it one of the world's largest annual festivals.

Thailand logged ~36 million arrivals in 2025, outpacing the global recovery average by 40%. Bangkok remains the world's most-visited city by a wide margin, and islands like Phuket, Koh Samui, and Krabi deliver world-class beaches at 50% lower costs than comparable destinations in Europe.
